Fit & sizing

• Sizes run EU 36-43, then 45. There is no EU 44 in the pink - if 44 is your size, the grey colourway carries it.

• Fits true to size

• The sock-cut upper pulls in close through the midfoot. A high instep will feel it, and usually wants the next size up.

• For anything past an hour on your feet, size up. Feet swell on a long descent and a snug toe box is how you lose a toenail.

• Wide, spaced-out lugs shed mud instead of packing it in - the trade-off is that they feel loose and noisy on footpaths.

Styling

Built for rough ground: fire trails, national park tracks, rocky descents, wet grass. The pink is the one you can see coming - worth something on a shared track or in low light, at the cost of showing every bit of trail dirt. Not a road shoe: a deep tread wears flat quickly on bitumen.

Care

Let mud dry, then knock it off and brush the mesh - scrubbing it wet drives dirt into the weave, and on a pale upper that shows. Spot-clean early with mild soap and a damp cloth. Never machine wash or leave them in a hot car; both break down the foam. Clear the lugs out with a stick, pull the insoles to dry separately, and keep them away from heaters.
