Fit & sizing

• Sized EU 36-44 - the wider of our two size runs in this style

• Fits true to size

• The sock-cut upper pulls in close through the midfoot. A high instep will feel it, and usually wants the next size up.

• For anything past an hour on your feet, size up. Feet swell on a long descent and a snug toe box is how you lose a toenail.

• Wide, spaced-out lugs shed mud instead of packing it in - the trade-off is that they feel loose and noisy on footpaths.

Styling

Built for rough ground: fire trails, national park tracks, rocky descents, wet grass. Grey hides trail dirt better than a pale shoe, which is the practical reason to pick it. Not a road shoe - a deep tread wears flat quickly on bitumen and you lose the thing you paid for.

Care

Let mud dry, then knock it off and brush the mesh - scrubbing it wet pushes grit into the weave. Spot-clean with mild soap and a damp cloth. Never machine wash or leave them in a hot car; both break down the foam. Clear the lugs out with a stick, pull the insoles to dry separately, and keep them away from heaters.
